It is very difficult for most of other producers to forge 904L stainless steel flange well, the 904L material is easy to be crack when forging. With long experiences and advance technology, we forged a lot of 904L stainless steels successfully, in general, we need to press the 904L forging flanges 4-5 times, it's means that the raw forging should be back to the furnace for heating 4-5 times, for the normal stainless steels, it's only need to press 2 times at most.

904L Stainless Steel

904L stainless steel is a low-carbon alloy austenitic grade of SS. It is used extensively for its superior corrosion resistant properties.

Conventional chrome stainless steels are comprised of nickel. However, 904L SS is unique in its the addition of copper. This is what gives this non-magnetic grade excellent toughness, formability and weldability. This non-stabilized high alloy is also resistant to corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion.
